Whoever Michael Miller is I love him lol

You may not have heard of Michael Miller but he/they/the company print some of the most gorgeous fabrics I've ever seen. I'm loving the groovy guitar at the moment - the boy version of course. I've appliqued lots of it to jeans for my son for Christmas (after the 9-12 month disaster but that's another story) . This is the disaster pair spent about 2 hours stitching the guitars on then realised that they were too short for him.
I love the colours tho'. I've listed these in my shop, it's heartbreaking. I've done him another pair though this time with 3 guitars on and only in the green colours. I love those just as much ;-)

Patches, patches everywhere

I'm preparing for my craft fair on Sunday and have been making millions of sew on applique patches... slight exaggeration lol.

This is my favourite one in my favourite fabrics of the moment, looks good enough to eat. Cupcake patches would really brighten up a boring pair of jeans.

I've had a bit of a change of direction, offering these more than embroidered clothes on my site... we'll see if people like them.
If you happen to find this blog, leave a comment what do you think?

It's been a while.... I've been so busy getting my ideas together I have hardly time to sleep! Well that's a slight exaggeration really I've just forgotten to post...

I've had the idea of a lifetime (another exaggeration) and I'm developing a line of cloth nappy clothing. I've had a hard time finding clothes, especially trousers to fit my son that aren't out-grown quickly so it's something I feel really passionate about. I'll post pictures as soon as possible.

Get your handmade bibs here!

I have come up with 3 patterns for baby bibs - from smaller bibs to wear with outfits to large bibs to try and cover all available surfaces from the joys of baby feeding itself fall out.

This is the first of many I've put up for sale. I'm really pleased with how they work on my own son. The fleece backing is great for helping to keep his clothes dry from the relentless teething dribble. Wish it did the same for his chin lol.

New designs

Have been really busy the last few days a) because my boy is teething and not very happy a lot of the time and b) in all my spare time I've been designing c) or enjoying the sunshine :-D

I've also found new selling outlets in etsy and folksy to put my hand embroidered gear on so I'm hopeful that some of those will sell. Along with £bay and ebid should hopefully be a productive run upto Christmas.

I can't believe the end of the summer is here no more rainy days in the garden - actually nothing changes then.

It's been a few days

So time has been flying past me again but at least I have made progress in all areas of my life, not only the shop (bar ironing I must admit!)

This is sweet hunny bunny one of the newest additions to the family of ReeBee Baby. I think she's gorgeous. As a vintage pattern she is stitched in machine blanket stitch not satin stitch. I am full of interesting information today! All my vintage patterns have worked really well I'm chuffed with them all. Will be more chuffed when someone's bought one ;-)

Embroidered handprints

It's amazing how fast children grow and before you know it those tiny hands and feet are huge and your little baby is 6' tall. I've been 'saving' some of my son's handprints and using them as a design on some of his clothes. I think it's gorgeous. I've started offering this as a service in my shop, time will tell if other people think it's gorgeous or just tacky.

This handprint was done when my son was 7 months old. He wouldn't let me push his fingers down and just kept staring at the paper and then at his messy hand. Everytime I look at it I smile as I think of that moment in his high chair. There's another story to embarrass him with when he's 18!

a difficult day

Thankfully it's getting towards the end of the day after having loads of fun with my son today I should have stopped and not tried to do any work on my clothing. Ha 2 ruined t-shirts later I'm not in a good mood and to top it all off my reflux is back. Damn. I'm so tired I can't even think what to put next.

But tomorrow is another day as they say... let's hope I don't mess up again ;-)

so many things to add so little time

I've been fiendishly working on getting my shop homepage up and running and adding all the cool stuff I have. I still have post-pregnancy baby brain so the computing side is taking me so long to master and to think I was a clever girl not so long ago ;-)

I've been doing my machine embroidery section, I can't add everything I want to do I don't have enough time!! Here is my current fave... it will be my son's first halloween too. I am so going to do a little party for him

Cat applique panels

I love these cat panels I have... made loads of stuff for my son with them on lol... hope someone else likes them as much to buy one! This one is my fave.

It reminds me of James the Cat a tv show I used to watch as a child, it had the best theme tune. He lived in a garden chasing the birds and the butterflies and getting fat. Actually other than the tune I can't remember much else about it.

new ideas

This will sound really sad and I know I'm not doing anything earth shatteringly creative but I have taken to carrying around a notebook to write down ideas when I'm out and about. And also for trying to make my pregnancy brain memory not make me forget the 10,001 things I'm supposed to be remembering.
I'm off now to make up some more applique panels I might post some here tomorrow.

My new shop

After debating for ages over whether I should follow my heart and give in to being creative I have done it. It's taken weeks of hard work (which is still going on) but thanks to the amazing work at home mums site I now have my own shiny new shop!

Half of me is so excited because it's my own project, I answer to no-one but myself and half of me is terrified in case no-one likes what I'm doing enough to buy it. I can't even bring myself to think of the big f word. It has to work!

I know someone famous said something about you can't fail if you never try so that is what I am doing trying.... wish me luck.
